Vacuum Pumps


Vacuum pumps can be modeled in FluidFlow. Figure 1 gives an example of the performance data for a vacuum pump as supplied from a vendor.

Figures 2 and 3 show this data defined in FluidFlow. You can see in Figure 2 that the Volume Flow Conditions are set to STP as Figure 1 shows this data highlighted in yellow at the bottom (15 deg C and 1 atm).

Figure 3 shows the performance curve co-ordinates defined in the software based on the 50 Hz performance curve as seen in Figure 1.

Based on the above defined data, this vacuum pump is now ready to be modeled in a system.
