Unable to Prepare Network

This warning can arise if a model or node within a model has been corrupt. As a first pass, it is recommended to copy and paste the model to a new Flowsheet to re-initialize the nodes in the model. Select "Calculate" to determine if the model now solves. If not, email a copy of the model to: support@fluidflowinfo.com

    • Solid Phase Detected

This can occur when the fluid in a system has dropped below it's freezing temperature. Perhaps too much heat is being removed from the network via a heat exchanger? What you can consider here is adding a bypass loop at the effected heat exchanger and ...
    • Are you able to model two different fluids from a heat exchanger?

Scenario: Say we want to analyze the cooling in a system where we have two separate flows, one of chilled water, and one of warm air to be cooled using the heat exchanger. Answer: In relation to the heat exchangers, we need to create one model of the ...
    • Two-Phase Pipe Heat Transfer at Low Flow Conditions

Let's consider a stainless steel pipe transporting saturated steam. The pipe inlet condition is 6 barg at 165 degrees C with a fixed flow rate at the outlet of the pipe 1 kg/h (0.0002778 kg/s). What we can sometimes see is that even if you set a low ...
