Solid Phase Detected

Solid Phase Detected

This can occur when the fluid in a system has dropped below it's freezing temperature. Perhaps too much heat is being removed from the network via a heat exchanger? What you can consider here is adding a bypass loop at the effected heat exchanger and fit an orifice plate to the bypass until flow through Heat exchanger is maintained at a minimum level to prevent freezing occurring in pipe after it.

There are no available correlations in the public domain for the reliable prediction of two-phase choked flow conditions. The software will solve the conservation of mass, energy and momentum and on this basis, if the model solves with a negative ...

Let's consider a stainless steel pipe transporting saturated steam. The pipe inlet condition is 6 barg at 165 degrees C with a fixed flow rate at the outlet of the pipe 1 kg/h (0.0002778 kg/s). What we can sometimes see is that even if you set a low ...

A fluid mixture has been created in the Database and modeled in a single-pipe system as shown below. We can see that, when modeled, the results are suspect and we have a result of N/A for fluid phase state at the inlet and outlet of the pipe. This ...

Steam is available in the database and is locked in the gas phase so no matter what temperature and pressure you model "steam", it will remain in its gaseous phase. This was a feature request by several users as they often use steam and add it to ...
