There are four categories where a new general resistance component can be added: Inline Filter, “K” or Pressure Loss Coefficient, K-F or Equivalent Length and K-V or Flow coefficient.
Adding a new inline filter will prompt users to specify a Curve data for Hole Area over Total Area versus “K” Loss Coefficient.
New “K” or “K-F” components would need to specify their respective “K” or “K-F” values.
While a K-V or flow coefficient, requires more detail, with Flow and pressure drop information specified with a correlation exponent and corresponding reference density.
